Fantastic rendition of this song. I wish I could get it on iTunes!
A few years ago, I got this book in a birthday basket from the aunt/uncle/cousins. I have looked through it a few times and then tucked in a box. The box has been through many moves since I got it and I just now found it again. This book is full of “simple directions” for life.
Here are a few of my favorites:
1. When in doubt, wait. Often a quick decision is the wrong one.
2. Make a fool of yourself once in while. Being serious all the time is exhausting.
3. Smile and wave at strangers. You might make someone’s day.
4. Set goals. Write them down. Pursue them. Reward yourself when you achieve one. Then set a new one.
5. When given a chance to walk in someone else’s shoes, do it.
6. Look over your shoulder occasionally to see where you have been. Don’t forget where you came from.
7. Have a personal trademark. Not a weird one, but something others will remember you for.
8. Put the windows down and enjoy the wind in your hair.
9. Always sing along to your favorite songs. And sing loud.
10. Let your faith guide your most difficult decisions.
